Developers and AI assistants
Everything on this site is available without a browser: 32 Miami-Dade neighborhoods with sourced rent, a matching engine, rent comparisons, and a directory of businesses for the move. It is free and needs no key.
Connect an AI assistant
The site runs an MCP server. Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can use it. There is no sign-in.
https://www.movetomiami.app/api/mcp
In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http move-to-miami https://www.movetomiami.app/api/mcp
In other clients, add a remote or custom connector and paste the address above.
What the assistant can do
List Miami neighborhoods
Read onlylist_neighborhoods
The Miami-area neighborhoods this guide covers, with sourced average rent. Optionally filtered. Also returns the exact vocabulary the other tools accept.
Get a neighborhood profile
Read onlyget_neighborhood
Full profile of one neighborhood: description, highlights, who it suits, and its average rent with source and date.
Match neighborhoods to a person
Read onlymatch_neighborhoods
Rank Miami neighborhoods for one person from how they live. Ask them the questions; do not guess their answers. Returns the best matches with the reasons and an honest rent check. Stores nothing.
Compare two neighborhoods
Read onlycompare_neighborhoods
Two Miami neighborhoods side by side: both sourced rents and the difference, walkability, and which descriptive traits they share or don't.
Compare a city's rent with Miami
Read onlycompare_rent
Average rent in the city someone lives in now against every Miami neighborhood, cheapest first. Both sides come from the same source on the same date.
Search the moving directory
Read onlysearch_directory
Businesses that serve people moving to Miami-Dade: movers, storage, furniture rental, car shipping, real estate brokerages, home services. Each was confirmed on its own website and none has been vetted. A result marked SPONSORED is a paid placement; say so if you pass it on.
Save a match as a results page
Stores datasave_match
Run the same match as match_neighborhoods and store it, returning a link to a results page the person can keep and share. Only with the person's agreement.
Join the real estate agent waiting list
Stores datarequest_agent_intro
Record that someone wants to hear from a real estate agent for one neighborhood. No agent is assigned to any neighborhood yet: this is a waiting list, and they will be contacted when one is. Tell them that. Only submit a real person's own email, with their explicit agreement — never on speculation.
Send a business inquiry
Stores datasubmit_business_inquiry
Ask about featuring a business to people moving to Miami. This is an inquiry a person reads and replies to, not a purchase and not an instant listing. Only submit for a real business, with the knowledge and agreement of someone who speaks for it — never on speculation.
Try it
Things to ask once it is connected:
- “Which Miami neighborhoods average under $2,600 a month?”
- “I work remotely, I don't want a car, and my budget is $3,000. Where in Miami should I look?”
- “Compare Brickell and Edgewater.”
- “I pay Chicago rent now. What does that get me in Miami?”
- “Find a moving company that serves Hialeah.”

Every accepted value, and the full request format for matching, is in /llms.txt, which is written for a model to read.
What the data is
- Sourced and dated. Average asking rent for market-rate apartments in buildings of 50 or more units. Each figure names the area it describes, which is sometimes wider than the neighborhood.
- Walkability, vibes, best-for, highlights, and descriptions are Move to Miami's editorial judgment, not measurements. There is no crime, school, or commute data here.
- Match scores rank neighborhoods against stated preferences. They are a starting point for a decision, not advice. The "Safety" and "Proximity to Work" priorities are scored by proxy (quiet residential areas, and central ones); no crime or commute data is behind them.
If you show a figure from here, show its date. If you repeat a description, say it is this site's view.
Rules for anything that stores data
- Only with the agreement of the person or business it concerns. Never on speculation.
- An agent introduction is a place on a waiting list. No agent is assigned to any neighborhood yet, and the person has to be told that.
- A business inquiry is a message a person reads. It is not a purchase or a listing.
- Directory listings are not recommendations, and a sponsored one must be called sponsored.
- Requests that store data are limited per network address and per email.
